Hassan, Mar 3: Two students from Hasagavalli village in Sakleshpur taluk slipped and drowned in agricultural pit while returning from school on Monday March 2 evening.
The victims are Sandeep (12), son of Swami, and Sanjay (11), son of Basavaraju. They were students of the government higher primary school in Hasagavalli. Both were fifth standard students. When returning together, they suddenly slipped into the agricultural pit when walking on its edge.
The pit belongs to a villager named Arun Kumar, who had stored water in the pit for agricultural purposes.
