Agency report
London, Feb 5: Actress Shilpa Shetty, who was allegedly subjected to racist taunts on Celebrity Big Brother, was quizzed by the British police, who also plan to question the Indian star's tormentors and producers of the show.
The actress spent an hour being questioned at a London hotel over the treatment she received on the show.
Police told her they were planning to interview Jade Goody, her mother Jackiey and the bosses of Channel Four in connection with the alleged racist remarks made against her.
Quoting a source, the 'Sunday Mirror' said on Sunday, "The police quizzed Shilpa on what went on in the Big Brother house.
"They asked about her feelings when she was inside and now she is out. They also wanted to know if she thought her contract had been breached - and if she felt any of the attacks were racially motivated," it said.
Two officers met Shilpa, who was with her mother Sunanda and a lawyer, at her hotel on Friday evening.
The source said: "The police told Shilpa they wanted to interview everyone in the house. And they wanted to interview bosses at Channel Four, but had not been able to yet."
Thirty-one-year-old Shilpa, who still hasn't seen all the CBB footage, said she was unable to comment because she didn't know the full situation.
The source said, "Shilpa has seen snippets of what went on, but she's not watched the whole thing. She wants to see exactly what went on behind her back."
Since leaving the CBB house, Shilpa has maintained that there was no racism on the show.
