Karkala, Feb 9: Explosive substances were found in in a garden at Jodurasthe, Kukkundoor here Wednesday February 8 following a raid by the police.
The police recieved a tip off that explosives were stored in the house belonging to a certain Biju T K. However, it was revealed that the Biju had license to store explosive substances and even owns a magazine.
But the explosive susbstances had been stored in unathorised places while the magazine was found empty.
The police confiscated five boxes of highly explosive substances including gelatine sticks and ammonium nitrate. The substances were recovered from the residence and a garden belonging to Biju.
The accused was arrested and his property worth three lac has been siezed by the police. A case has been registered in the regard.
