Chennai, Mar 25: Popular multilingual actor Kamal Haasan said that it was just another day at the office for him where controversies are concerned because he feels trouble keeps following him no matter where he goes. The most recent of the controversies being a court case relating to his last movie Papanasam.

Previous to Papanasam, Kamal's movie Viswaroopam was protested against by many who felt it spoke against Islam. The 60 year old actor is currently promoting his next film 'Uttam Villain' in which he plays a dual role of a present day star juxtaposed with the story of an eighty year old artiste.

Kamal Haasan has rubbished the rumours that the comedy-drama film is a satirical take on the movie industry. When he accused, which has happened repeatedly of plagiarism with regards to his film, Kamal stated that all his films were inspired.

Speaking of being in the news for the wrong reasons, Kamal said, “I feel I’m always targeted. It has happened in the past too. For instance, people objected the title of my film ‘Mumbai Express’. They said the title wasn’t in Tamil, but what’s the Tamil word for Mumbai? In an earlier case, they didn’t let me name one of my films ‘Sandiyar’, and a few months ago, a film with the same name released. Why didn’t anybody object to it?”

Kamal further stated, “If I feel like saying something in the language I want, I have to write and get permission from the Board, like in the British times. But I am an artiste, I have all the rights to say what I want and also question them.”

Despite all the hurdles Kamal continues to work and says very firmly that he continues his work because he wants to live to people's expectation of him which clearly involve him giving them uttam entertainment.
