Anamda Seyfried has stage fright

Los Angeles, March 27 (IANS): Actress Amanda Seyfried has always been "scared s**tless" about performing on stage, but she finally feels that she's ready to make her theatre debut.

The "Les Miserables" star is set to make her off-Broadway debut in "The Way We Get By" opposite Thomas Sadoski, and though she has auditioned in the past, she has always been wary of working in theatre, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I always wanted to be up there. I wanted to do something else last year that ended up not happening. It was one of those things I kept putting off because I was scared s**tless.

"I never really felt ready for it until now. This is for me," Seyfried said on "Entertainment Tonight".

With just over a month before the play previews, the 29-year-old beauty is still not over her fears of the stage.

"It makes me nervous to even think about it," she said.

Though she has sung and danced in movies "Les Miserables" and "Mamma Mia!", Seyfried insists she wouldn't be disciplined enough for musical theatre.

"Ugh, no, I can't live like a singer. I love to sing, but not for work. Unless it's a movie where you can put it all down in the recording studio and then forget about it," Seyfried said.
