Puttur: Sexual harassment - accused booked under POCSO Act

Puttur, Apr 2: Relating to a case in which a person had entered the house of a student and pulled her by her hand, a complaint was filed in the rural police station here on Wednesday April 1 under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The victim is from Ariyadka village, and the offender has been identified as Naveen from Narimogaru village in the taluk.

Reportedly, the accused used to make calls and send messages to the girl student of the government college here. As she did not respond to his advances, he got angry. The girl student, in her complaint, informed the rural police that he came to her house on March 23, held her hand, pulled and eve-teased her.

The rural police have begun investigation into the complaint.
