Mumbai, Apr 2: Kateel Sanjeev Rao (90), President and trustee of Sanjeevini Trust, Mumbai passed away at his residence at Kateel on Wednesday, March 2. He was the father of Sanjeevini Hospital Managing director and former Executive president of Association of Medical Consultants Mumbai and well known Tulu Kannadiga Medical officer Dr Suresh S Rao, Kateel.


Sanjeev Rao was the son of Srinivas Pejathaya and Padmavathi Pejathaya couple who had worked for Kateel Durgaparameshwari temple. He had arrived in Mumbai in 1942. He worked as a tailor for nearly twenty years by staying in Vile Parle Chawl. He was staying with his son Dr Suresh Rao till last week.

He looked after the management of Durgaparameshwari Sanskrit College in Kateel during his retired life. He has left behind his wife Kathyayini Rao, elder son Dr Suresh S Rao, Sathish S Rao, daughters,daughters in law and a large number of friends and relatives. The last rites of the deceased were held on Wednesday night in Kateel. A large number of people were present.

Hundreds of people have expressed their condolences on the sad demise of Sanjeev Srinivasa Rao.
