Dubai: ICS Karnataka forms new committee

Dubai, Apr 14: The formation of the new Karnataka state committee was carried out by the Indian Cultural Society in Annapoorna Restaurant Dubai on April 10.






New office bearers were elected for a term of 3 years. Asheer, general secretary, Indian cultural society Karnataka chapter opened the program on this auspicious occasion. E Saeed, national president, SDPI was the chief guest. The programme was presided over by Naseer Karaje president UAE Karnataka chapter. Mohammad Munawwar general secretary and Naushad Thirunavaya, secretary Indian cultural society UAE were on the dais.

The program commenced with the presidential address by Naseer Karaje. In his address, he mentioned the importance of Indian cultural society and presented the report of the ad hoc committee which functioned for the last 6 months. He then dissolved the committee.

Mohammad Munawwar organized the formation of the committee.

Naseer Karaje was elected as president, Asheer Chockabettu as general secretary, Mohammed Shafi as vice president, Rasheed Naala and Arief Madikeri as secretary. Sulaiman Madikeri, Aazim Uchila, Ilyas Melkar and Razak Shaban were elected as office bearers.

The newly elected committee was announced by Saeed national president of SDPI. Later in his key address to the gathering, he spoke about the present scenario of Indian politics and the reason for alternative politics in India.

Deira Dubai, Bur Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah branch executive members were also present.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Ali Mullor president Indian cultural society Deira Dubai Karnataka chapter.
