Mangalore, Mar 18: The sound and light show 'Someachi Nimanni Baara Voran' turned out to be a spectacular show with a crowd of over 5,000 people. A beautiful blend of theatre and the passion of Christ and the use of latest light and sound effects, the three hour show was much appreciated.

Organized by the Kelarai Parish to raise funds in aid of poor children, the play held on Sunday on the St Agnes Special School ground was put up in association with Konkani Natak Sabha.

This mega show was organized with a novel purpose of providing education to the children in this village locality, so that imparting basic primary education could be motivated and supported.

More than 70 actors with put up the play on the ten stages specially designed. The Gumttam accompaniment which wove the performance with the audience was led by Joachim Pereira

Under the direction of Dolla Nandigudda, the play moved hundreds of hearts. The scene of the crucifixion of Christ was soul stirring.

Music maestro Joel Pereira directed the music which set the mode to the play.

Earlier the VCD of the play was released by Bishop of Mangalore Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza.

President of Konkani Natak Sabha, Fr Joachim, Parish priest Kelarai church Dr Mark Castelino and Convener of drama Alfred Bennis and were present on the occasion.
