Senior journalist, Padubidri Suresh Mallya, breathes his last

Udupi, May 4: Veteran journalist, Padubidri Suresh Mallya, breathed his last after a brief illness on Sunday May 3. Mallya, a resident of Pragathi Nagara, Manipal, was 63.

Mallya had worked in a number of publications including Udayavani, Roopatara, and Taranga. This well-known personality, who worked in the field of journalism for 28 years, was mostly known for his coverage of the cine world.

Mallya is survived by mother, wife, and two daughters.

In the early days of his career, Mallya had worked as assistant director for a Kannada movie, 'Madhura Milana'. At the time of his retirement in 2010, he was working for Kannada daily, 'Udayavani'.
