Mangalore, Mar 25: The Panambur branch of Syndicate Bank held a Customers' Meet in the branch premises earlier during the week.

New Mangalore Port Trust's financial adviser and chief accounts officer D V Ananth, as chief guest, delivered the keynote address. K U Shanbhag, deputy general manager at the bank's regional office in Mangalore, presided over the function.

The programme commenced with a invocation prayer sung  by lady staff members  and a welcome address. Senior branch manager Marian D’Souza presented a profile of the branch and spelt out the new innovative products and services offered to the customers under the CBS platform. He thanked the customers for their  patronage and sought their support in the days ahead.

Chief guest Ananth spoke about the long-standing relationship between the Bank and his organization. He commended the branch for its efficient services to the port trust and the public comprising port-users, staff and allied organizations.

A few customers representing business, industry, trade and service sector gave their impressions, which provided the branch to have a feedback on the quality of service and expectations of the customers besides an opportunity to introspect on the services and improve upon the same.

DGM Shanbhag announced that RTGS service wwould be operational at the branch by the end of the month. He said that Syndicate Bank had 1500 branches under core banking out of 2200 branches and the global business of the bank had crossed Rs.125000 crores.

He also responded to the suggestions put forth at the meeting and assured the customers that their needs will be met to the extent possible within the overall policy framework of the Bank.

Bank's Mallya Gate branch manager K P Suresh compered the programme and manager Chandrashekara proposed the vote of thanks.
