Udupi, Mar 26: Noted journalist and chairman of Prasar Bharti M V Kamath has expressed fears that in another 10 years medical representatives would disappear because of the IT revolution. He also said that the relationship between the doctor and medical reprenstatives would disappear,
He was speaking at a meeting organized by the Karnataka state Medical Reprenstatives' Association, Udupi branch here.
Kamath had begun his career as a chemist after passing B Sc in Chemistry from Mumbai and then he continued as a journalist. He added that medical reprentatives were always overworked and were underpaid.
R N Bhat, A V Shetty and Ravindra Prabhu were honoured by Kamath on behalf of the association.
Association's founder-member Surendra Kamathsaid that the return of 5,000 doctors from England created a deep concern in the country while it was a fact that there are 500,000 villages which are being forgotten and which need the services of these people.
