Mangalore, Apr 3: AHINDA, a movement of minorities, backward classes and dalits has strongly criticized Supreme Court judgment on OBC reservations in IIMs, IITs and other professional institutes.

Speaking at a press conference held here on Tuesday April 3 AHINDA district working president Lolakshsaid that Supreme Court has become a major obstacle in implementing a long-pending project of social justice.  "This is against the Constitutional rights of the people of minorities, backward and dalit communities," he said.

He appealed the union government to intervene and resolve the matter at the earliest. "Through this judgment, the Supreme Court has questioned the conscience of 100 crore people of our country and their right to get higher education.  I appeal the union government to take this seriously and act immediately by filing a plea against Supreme Court's verdict," he added.

AHINDA president Vasudev Boloor, vice-president Dr Wahab Doddamane, treasurer Renny D'Souza were also present at the press conference.
