Mumbai, Apr 5: After being tagged as a sex symbol in Bollywood, actress Sherlyn Chopra is all set to enter the world of music. Her first music video is rightly titled as per her image as 'Outrage'. But she surprises us about the album content saying, "This album is only for adults. My album Outrage is a one man show. It's written, composed and sung by me. It should be out soon."

The video is shot by adman Prahlad Kakkar. So, how will the video look like? "There's going to be nudity but it has been done very beautifully. Prahlad is the director of the video and I am sure he knows his job well. Those who love Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera music videos will love this one too though it's strictly for adults I personally feel that it should be for everyone. Besides, I believe today's youth are more aware about sex."

Sherlyn has been writing lyrics since the age of 17. In fact, the songs in this album derive inspiration from her real life. "Well, I can't say that because when I say 'Outrage' it's a kind of a beginning. It was an end of a phase in my life. It's about the phase when I was a rebel but now I am in control of my urges."

Sherlyn has not taken any kind of professional training in singing and feels that one doesn't need it. "I sing well. I have been brought up as a Christian and have been singing in the choir in church. It has never been difficult for me. I am not a classical singer and this is not a classical music album. This is a fun album and the kids are going to love it (and we thought it was an album only for adults). I am sure everyone will enjoy the visuals of my videos."

Sherlyn is not open for any item numbers but will do only if the project excites her. She has done that for Raj Kanwar's Raqeeb. When asked her about item numbers she said, "Yes I do get offers but I am a mad girl. I'd rather work for myself than somebody else. I refuse most of the offers. I can't shake legs to the number which I am not fond of. When I signed an item number in Raqeeb composed by Pritam and sung by Alisha Chinai, I asked the director to play the song before I sign. It's important for me to know what exactly the number is and how it is going to be shot. I don't want to make a fool of myself by doing any item number. I have basic understanding about the music. I am not here to experiment and I have a great feeling that my album will get a positive review."

She accepts that she has been talked about mostly for her bold acts and statements. But she defends "I love to be myself. Even at home I always argue if I find something is wrong. Basically this is the way I am. And what is bold? Doing a shower scene or love scene? If you call that boldness then why not? It is part of my job. After the scene I don't even think about it. I don't even look at the guy." When it comes to her role-model, Sherlyn surprises by taking her rival Mallika Sherawat's name. "I like Mallika. I think she is mad about her work and only this kind of madness can take you forward. She doesn't have any family background in Bollywood. She may not be an idol or a great actress but Mallika believes in herself. And believing in oneself is the most difficult job. I admire her for that."

Apart from the music album, Sherlyn is also busy with her film projects. "Last year I auditioned for the role of Radha for a film called Rasleela. Milind Soman was a part of this project then but now I have been told that Vivek Oberoi will be playing Krishna's role. Parvin Dabas is also a part of the same film." Sherlyn also has Red Swastik lined up for release. So, is she planning to continue with her music? "Well, if my first music album goes well then yes, I'll start working on my second album" replies Sherlyn.
