Kundapur, Apr 9: Prof S Narayana Rao who has been in the service of Manipal Academy for several years has recently taken over the charge of principal at Bhandarkar's College, one of the largest colleges under the academy's banner.
Until now he was the head of the department of Economics and had participated in many seminars held in places like Poona, Delhi and Mysore and presented several papers on new thinking of economic science.
He has also co-authored a book on eEonomics and worked as NCC and NSS officer. Currently he is president of teachers' association.
Hailing for Sorab in Shimoga district of Karnataka, he has extracurricular interests like dramatics, Yakshagana, tala maddale and gamak sangeet.
