Dubai, Apr 9: Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates organized a fun-filled annual party in the Al Masa Apartments party hall, Dubai.
It was sponsored by grand patron members who are also members of the committee.
President Umesh Kuckian welcomed the gathering and thanked the members for their consistent support.
Committee members and grand patron members who were present with their family members, enjoyed every moment by participating in various games and socializing with each other.
Various games were organized for couples and bachelors and they were well conducted by Yogita Salian, Mohan Attavar and Harsha P of Radio 4 FM.
Billawas Dubai & NE took this opportunity to bid adieu to Sadashiv K Suvarna, committee member who is leaving Dubai for good after living and working in Dubai for over a decade. On behalf of Billawas Dubai, Satish Poojary presented him with a gold chain as a memento and wished him good luck.
K A Rohini (honorary president Mahila Okkoota, Mangalore and general secretary of Akhil Bharat Billawasra Mahila Sanga who was present as a special guest appreciated the efforts put by Billawas Dubai and their contribution to the community in UAE as well as back home.
Umesh Kuckian introduced all the new grand patron members who have wholeheartedly came forward to join the organization and thanked them for them support.
Speaking on the occasion, Manohar Tonse, convener of Billawa Balaga - Abu Dhabi, thanked Billawas Dubai for their plan to dedicate a special page for Billawa Balaga Abu Dhabi in their website. He also suggested that they start a matrimonial page for Billawas. He urged youngsters to contribute more articles to make the site more dynamic.
Devdas was the lucky winner of return air-Ticket to India as part of the Lucky draw of air Ticket to married persons staying single in UAE.
After dinner few more games were conducted and the guests danced to the some great music mix played by the specially-invited DJ.
As last part of the day's event, Shodhan Prasad conducted a game of Bingo in his unique style.
General secretary Satish Poojary thanked Billawa Balaga Abu Dhabi committee members and their families for their participation. He also thanked all the guests who were present till the early hours of Friday.
Prizes were given away to winners of various games by Jitendra Suvarna, Praveen Kumar, Anand Bailoor, Suresh Amin, Madhav Poojary, Deena Kumar, Arun Kunder and Vittal Poojary.
