Mangalore: Welcome Showers Bring Brief Reprieve from Scorching Heat

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (MB)

Mangalore, Apr 14: (7-00 pm IST): A brief spell of showers greeted the city on Saturday evening as the citizens were preparing themselves for a peaceful weekend after going through humid and sultry week.

Office-goers returning home were put to inconvenience to some extent.  The lucky ones were some women, who had brought umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun. They could resort to their umbrellas and flash them at once.

Hampankatta and Balmatta had a fair share of rain. Reports received from Kulshekar and Bijai also spoke of the same experience.

As usual, our photographer Dayanand Kukkaje was more than ready to capture some interesting shots.

More reports are awaited. However, many citizens who were familiar with weather pattern, expressed fears that the heat could turn worse, unless the showers continue.
