Madhoo, Sathyaraj team up for 'Maha Natchathiram'

Chennai, Jun 17 (IANS): Actress Madhoo, who was last seen in films such as "Ranna" and "Vaaya Moodi Pesavum", has signed a new Tamil project titled "Maha Natchathiram", which also features veteran actor Sathyaraj in an important role.

An excited Madhoo told IANS that this is the first time in her career she's teaming up with a new team.

"I've always wanted to and have associated myself with established directors and producers. Right from the beginning of my career, I've worked predominantly with popular people. This time, I've chosen to work with a new team because I was floored by the story," she said.

For Madhoo, "Maha Natchathiram", which is going to be helmed by debutant Bharat Martin, will be a "leap of faith"

"It's a very strong role and not just another character in my career. More than the production, hero and everything else, it's the role that got me hooked on to this project. I'm taking a chance with myself and it's going to be exciting, I think," she added.

The film will be produced by Pawan Kumar, who will also play the male lead.

"Pawan plans to make the film in Telugu as well. Sathyaraj sir is also part of the team. The rest of the cast will be finalized soon. We start shooting from August," said Madhoo.
