Abu Dhabi: UAE Bunts Celebrate 33rd Anniversary in Grand Style

Abu Dhabi, April 27: UAE Bunts celebrated their 33rd Get-Together in Radisson Hotel at Jabeel Ball Room.The entire ball room was decorated depicting the Tulunadu culture.Programme started with a procession of  ladies carrying  the kalasa lead by the Yakshagana.  The function began with lighting of lamp by Dr B.R Shetty, Patron UAE BUNTS, Sri.Krishna Prasad Adyanthaya, Managing Trustee of Sri Kollur Mookambika Temple along with the organising Committee Members.

Vishwanth Shetty welcomed the guest and the audience on behalf of organizing committee.. Cultural program started with traditional and famous  art of Dakshina Kannada Yakshagana and welcome dance Thereafter, total entertainment took over the proceedings provided by the cheerful and talented members and children.

Sri Kollur Mookamibika Temple Managing Trustee Krishna Prasad Adyanthaya, Harish Shetty  President of Bunt Sangha Bangalore,Ashok Shetty President of  Bahrain bunt Sangha were the dignitaries honoured.

Grand patron, Rajyotsava Awardee and recipient of Order of Merit from the government of Abu Dhabi Dr B R Shetty who was conferred with three major awards this year( Pravasi Bharathiya Sanmana award,Dubai Buisness award of the year,Quality award for U.A.E exchange center)was honoured with all pomp by the elders of the community who have come from their native places on visit.

Programme was compered by talented  Sarvathom Shetty and Mangala P Shetty.

Pushkal Kumar Thonse a mimcriy artist and a entertainer from Dakshina Kannada entertained the audience.  In the entertainment programme Kangeelu and Pata pata Gali Pata received the most cheers from the crowd.

Delicious lunch  was served in the afternoon. The programme ended with a raffle draw.
