New Delhi, May 1: A fire broke out in the 18-storey The Hindustan Times building in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The incident was reported at 6.05 pm, fire officials said.

The building is home to two leading newspapers, The Hindustan Times and the Dainik Hindustan, and a host of other offices.

"We have sent six fire engines to the spot," said a fire official, adding that people from the building were being evacuated.

The incident was reported from the first floor of the building, which has the editorial offices of the two newspapers.
