Mumbai, May 7: Reports in parts of the media that Saif Ali Khan has paid for his ex-love Rosa's apartment in suburban Mumbai are absolutely false and misleading.

Saif, now shooting in Dubai for Abbas-Mustan's Race dismisses the rumours of his love- largesse as absolutely untrue.

So where are the rumours emanating from?

According to a source, "It suits the lady in question to create the impression that Saif is still a part of her life. Before Rosa left for her home in Europe after their split, many of Saif's so-called friends from the film industry swore to support her and promised that she'd have opportunities galore waiting for her when she returned to Mumbai. However her comeback to Bolly-land has been a downer. Besides a TV show, Rosa has no offers waiting for her. No one in the industry would want to antagonize Saif. Not that he doesn't wish her well. But Saif is certainly not going to pay Rosa's bills. And the lady herself wouldn't want it."

So who's spreading these tall tabloid tales about Saif splurging on his ex-beloved? "Not Saif for sure," adds his friend. "Saif is too busy putting his own finances in place to worry about other's monetary matters. He's starting a production house, buying a new home and looking into his children's welfare."
