Sydney, May 15: Sylvester Stallone on Tuesday apologized for importing two banned muscle-building hormones and said it was a 'terrible mistake'.

Stallone faces charges of bringing restricted drugs into Australia during a tour to promote his film, 'Rocky Balboa.'

An AP report said that the veteran Hollywood actor said in a letter to Sydney's Local Court that he was not aware of local laws and had not attempted to decieve anyone.

Stallone also noted that the drugs had been prescribed to him under a medical condition.
