Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (KD)

Mangalore, May 16: ‘Araland Manas’, first-even Tulu music album produced under the banner of Capman’s Media Makers will soon see the light of the day.

The melodious album has been shot in the picturesque places such as Dharmasthala, Karkala, Suratkal, Moodbidri, Ullal, Someshwar, Derlakatte and Mangalore. The producers have made an effort to showcase the rich Tulu culture and traditions in this pioneer venture.

The album consists of 9 songs among which 5 are based on love story while others highlight about Kudla (Mangalore), Tulu Nadu, autorickshaws and rural love story.

The album has been directed by M G Rahim while Dakshina Kannada Rajyotsava awardee Hussain Katipalla has penned lyrics.

Noted singers including ‘SP Balasubrahmaniam of DK’ Ravindra Prabhu, melodious multi-lingual singer Prakash Mahadven, Chandrahas Thokottu, well-known Konkani singer Anita Sampson have lent their voices to the album.

Shivkumar Kumbla of Step Three Dance Troupe of Kumbla has choreographed the dances while Mukesh Othenan has worked as cameraman.

Katpadi resident J J Kumar, Puttur-Mani resident Preeti Gonsalves are playing the lead roles while DK Congress minority wing president Moideen Bava, singer Prakash Mahadevan, Jagat Gururaj and others have acted in the album.
