Panaji, May 18: A journalist was manhandled by a nationalist congress party office bearer at the party office today creating ruckus for almost an hour.


Prohibited picture: NCP's election campaign material lying in the party office. It was only because of this photograph that the photo journalist was manhandled by NCP general secretary.

Disturbed over the journalist's action of clicking a photograph of election material dumped at the party office for electioneering, NCP state general secretary manhandled a photo journalist belonging to a local Konkani newspaper Sunaparant.

What followed was a strong reaction by the journalist fraternity who gheraoed the NCP general secretary.

Incident occured few minutes after formal press briefing by NCP Goa unit chief Dr Wilfred D'Souza. The journalists also later went and questioned Dr Dsouza over the behaviour.
