So many villagers in coastal and other parts of Karnataka have Gun licences. Most of these licences transferred to their name from their ancestors who had these guns to chase away wild animals in olden days. The only purpose these guns are in use now a days is to go for hunting of wild animals in the open forest during night time. While hunting of animals in the open forest for commercial purpose like selling their skin is wrong, hunting for their meat for human consumption like this should be allowed to some extent.

The forest officers should have shot them down in the same way as they shot the sambar, these people don't deserve any humane treatment.
