Udupi, June 6: Former minister and Congress leader Vasanth V Salian has advised chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa to change Ullal within three months and to adopt the constituency as assured by them during the election campaigns.
Addressing press persons here on Tuesday June 5, Salian said that the people of Ullal had voted for Congress because they wanted peace. He further said that the election result was a testimony to the fact that the ‘hollow secularism’ and ‘Hindutva’ policies of the JD (S) and the BJP were no more liked by the people of Ullal.
He further said that if the Congress failed to fulfill its promises, the people would realize that the promises were just election stunts.
He alleged that if the party leaders fail to keep up their promise, then the people would think that their promises was just to win the votes of the public. He also said that the CM’s plan to divide secular votes had been a total failure.
