Beltangady, June 6: Former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah said here that the Ullal by-poll result reflected on the failure of the coalition government ruling the state. The electorates has given the decision in favour of Congress after considering the achievements of the Congress at the national leve, he added.
The coalition government is likely to fall by December, he said, addressing a press meet here on Tuesday June 5.
He further said that Congress would win with a thumping majority and would form the government on its own in the state. He added that the BJP and The JD(S) coalition government had failed on all fronts and the electorates had given its verdict on the anti-people’s policy and poor administration.
He alleged that the coalition government did not have a moral right to continue in power and added that the people had rejected the CM’s ‘political drama’ of staying in villages and sanctioning loan waivers.
Waiving off the loan was not a solution to farmers' suicides, he said and added that the suicides of farmers could be prevented by ensuring good prices for the agricultural products and providing good facilities of marketing, he said.
He further said that due to poverty, illiteracy and unemployment the Naxal activities were on the rise. Therefore there was a need to eradicate the regional imbalance and distribute the national wealth, he added.
KPCC secretary Kenche Gowda was present at the meet.
