Pune, Jun 7: After Amitabh Bachchan, it's now the turn of Aamir Khan. The actor is under the scanner for purchasing agricultural land in Pune district.
He bought the plot by allegedly claiming he is a farmer.
Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane on Tuesday said Pune's district collector would conduct an inquiry into the allegations against Aamir.
This comes just days after a UP court had ruled against the allotment of farmland to Bachchan.
Speaking to NDTV, Aamir Khan said he is a farmer and comes from a family of agriculturists. He also said he has every right to purchase the land.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has said that every individual, whether he is an actor or an artist, will be investigated if his land deal is considered controversial.
