Infosys co-founder Shibulal heads hospitality venture Tamara

The venture also appointed Sudha Gopalakrishnan, wife of another Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalarishnan, as one of its directors.

Sudha, a trustee of Pratisha Trust, set up with Gopalakrishnan, has varied interests spanning education, arts, organic farming and philanthropy.

"We are planning to build similar projects at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu," Tamara chief executive N. Senthil Kumar said on the occasion.

The leisure firm also appointed a domain consultant Anand Kasturi as an independent director.

"As a chief executive of his own firm Anand Kasturi Consulting, Kasturi works with Indian and overseas organisations in services management," the statement added.
