Every actor wants to be in Bollywood: Mishal Raheja

New Delhi, Aug 11 (IANS): TV actor Mishal Raheja says every actor has a dream of appearing on the big screen, but television is no less with its “own charm and importance” and a wider reach.

“Every actor wants to be in Bollywood. But I think both have their own charm and their own importance. The only difference in Bollywood is that you shoot for a film for one month and then jump out of the character, while in TV you have to play a character for long,” Mishal told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

“Television's reach is way more than films, unless you are doing a film with superstar like Salman Khan... then your reach is great,” he added.

Mishal made a mark on the small screen with his intense act as a loverboy in serial “Love Story”. He then went on to leave an impact with the role of a goon with a golden heart act in “Laagi Tujhse Lagan”. Mishal has also delved into the fantasy genre with the show “Maharakshak: Aryan".

He is back with his charm and intensity on TV through a new love saga “Ishq Ka Rang Safed”.

Set against the backdrop of culturally rich Banaras, “Ishq Ka Rang Safed”, aired on Colors channel, narrates the story of how a youth Viplav falls for a widow Dhani and how society reacts to it.

Mishal says Viplav may come across as a carefree person at first, but the role has a lot of layers to it.

“The initial part of Viplav is very light and fun. He is a carefree person, who is having lots of fun in life with his friends. I picked the role as I thought I will get something different to do. Then he falls in love and gets all intense and serious,” he said.
