M'luru: Lions Club Valencia celebrates I-Day at St Joseph's School

Mangaluru, Aug 18: Lions Club, Valencia celebrated Independence Day at St Joseph's School, Kankanady in the city.





President of the club Lion Sumalatha N Suvarna unfurled the national flag on the occasion. The students then presented a wonderful entertainment programme. Lion Navinchandra D Suvarna donated two CD players worth Rs 8000 for the primary and high school sections of the school. Lion John Vas donated sweets to the children.

Secretary Lion Queenie Rego, treasurer Lion John Vas, the first vice president Lion Oswald D'Cunha, second vice president Lion Joseph Rego, Lion Sushil Noronha, Lion Bani Joshua, correspondent Sr Sandhya, higher primary headmistress Sr Roshni, primary school headmistress Sr Veena, staff and students were present on the occasion.

Sr Sandhya welcomed the gathering and Sr Roshini proposed the vote of thanks.
