London, Jul 20: Prince William has ended the royal family's feud with the al Fayeds by inviting Mohammed Fayed's daughters to a memorial service for Princess Diana who was killed ten years ago with the girls' brother Dodi in a car crash in Paris.

William and brother Harry have written to Camilla al Fayed and her sister Jasmine asking them to attend the tenth anniversary event at the Guard's Chapel in Wellington barracks, close to Buckingham Palace here, on August 31, British tabloid 'Daily Mirror' reported today.

"Prince William and Prince Harry would be delighted if you were able to attend and send you their best wishes," according to a note which their private secretary sent to Camilla al Fayed.

The invitation came despite years of attacks on the royals by Mohammed al Fayad who had earlier claimed that "Prince Philip grew up with Nazis" and said he and Prince Charles "ordered terrorists" to kill Diana and his son Dodi in Paris in 1997.

"William and Harry hold no grudge. It (invitation) is an olive branch from the boys," the tabloid quoted a royal insider without naming him.

"The boys know what it feels like to lose someone very close. They lost a mother and the girls lost a brother. There is no bitterness on their part. It is a generational thing.

Obviously, the memorial service is about their mother rather than Dodi. But they felt that inviting Camilla and her sister was an appropriate gesture," the insider said.

Meanwhile, a source close to Harrods boss Mohammed al Fayed told the tabloid: "The family find it very touching that William has reached out to Camilla and her family at a particularly trying time. We need to get on with our lives and this is part of the healing process."
