Tbilisi, Oct 10 (IANS): Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili on Saturday condemned the twin explosions during a peace rally in Turkey's Ankara city that killed at least 86 people.
"I am appalled by the terrorist act in Ankara that killed dozens of people. The Georgian authorities and people unequivocally condemn all forms of terrorism," Margvelashvili said in a statement.
"Along with the international community we continue our struggle against it, which is one of the biggest threats," Margvelashvili said.
He also expressed condolences to the families of the victims and his support for the Turkish government and people in the statement, Xinhua news agency reported.
The toll from the twin blasts in the Turkish capital Ankara on Saturday rose to 86, while 186 were injured, the Turkish health ministry said.
The Turkish government has called the explosions terrorist attacks.
