Mumbai, Jul 30: Heavy rains continued to lash the city on Monday causing inconvenience to office goers as road and rail traffic was disrupted following incessant rains late Sunday, met officials said. 

"Heavy rainfall will continue through the day but will not be as heavy as yesterday", CVV Bhadram, Deputy Director General, Indian Met Department, said.

Due to water logging at various low lying areas, both Central and Harbour lines of the Railways are running at least 20 to 30 minutes late and traffic jams were reported at several places on both Western and Eastern Express highway, railway and road traffic sources said.

Colaba registered 83.2 mm of rain during the 24 hours till 8.30 am on Monday and suburban Santa Cruz got 98.8 mm.
