Kabul, Aug 3: The Taliban on Friday August 3, claimed that they had kidnapped an Indian engineer in Baghlan province of Afghanistan,Xinhua news agency reported.

A local Taliban commander, Bahlol, said Taliban guerrillas on Thursday abducted the Indian engineer. The engineer was working for a power project at Puli Khumri, the capital of Baghlan.

The engineer had been brought to the central Ghazni province where 23 South Koreans were abducted on July 19, Bahlol added.
