Bengaluru, Nov 12: With the re-allocation of districts to ministers in Karnataka cabinet, U T Khader, who was in-charge minister for Kolar district, ceases to have charge of any of the districts. An exercise conducted by the chief minister in this connection has affected the responsibilities of three ministers.
K J George, who was divested of key home portfolio recently, and was given charge of Bengaluru development department, also has been made in-charge of Bengaluru city.
Minister, Ramalinga Reddy, who was in charge of the city till recently, has been given charge of Kolar. Kodagu district, which was under K J George, has been given to minister for food and civil supplies, Dinesh Gundu Rao. Newly inducted minister, Manohad Tahsildar, has been given charge of Haveri district, while A Manju will be in-charge of Hassan district. Vinay Kulkarni has been given charge of Dharwad district.
With this exercise, both H C Mahadevappa and U T Khader have lost their statuses as district in-charge ministers of Hassan and Kolar respectively. Home minister, Dr G Parameshwar, too does not have additional responsibility of any particular district.
