Udupi: 24-year-old youth found hanging at Moodu Alevoor

Udupi, Nov 18: A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging in a wooded area at Moodu Alevoor here on Tuesday November 17.

The deceased has been identified as Nithin (24), son of Vasu Poojary, and an electrician by profession.

It is said that earlier in the day, his mother had asked him Rs 400 to pay the electricity bill, and he had agreed to give her the money. He then went out.

Sometime later, he was found hanging by a cable wire from a tree in the nearby woods.

Source said that he was in love with a girl and the families of both Nithin and the girl had no objections to their relationship.

The reason for taking the extreme step is not known.

The body was shifted to the mortuary at Ajjarkad hospital.

Manipal police have registered a case.

    Do not understand why some of our young boys/girls are so much dejected in life and few of them are taking extreme step. Feel very sad for them.

    @Jossey S.Mumbai,Jossey I thought you are old enough when giving comments when and what situations.stop it atleast now onwards at a sad Event such ones.Heartfelt sympathys to the Family of deceasedone.many of Youngsters suecide for some silly things without thinking about parents.Now what should his Family do without his earnings?
