Mangaluru, Nov 18: Much-awaited Tulu movie 'Ice Cream', directed and produced by Mangaluru-based journalist Pritham Sagar, is all set to release on Friday November 20.
The movie will be released in 13 theatres across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. With about 50 shows a day, the movie is set to create a record in Tulu movie industry, said director Pritham Sagar, addressing a press meet here.
"The movie is more than just a family entertainer. It is a mixture of comedy, action, horror and love," he added. The movie, in fact, is slated to be the first in the horror genre in Tulu.
Mangaluru's 'Rockstar' R J Rupesh Shetty and Anvitha Rao, both debutants, will be seen in the lead roles. Dinesh Attavar and Manohar Prasad have played minor roles in guest appearances.
The movie has been co-directed by BTV journalist Venu Gopal Shetty, and co-produced by Navitha Jain, also a journalist.
Chethan Rai, Rohini Jagaram, Daijiworld's Dayanand Kukkaje, Vijay Mayya, Arun Chandra and others are among the cast.
Rajesh Haleangady has done the cinematography. The movie has three three songs with music by Madan Mohan, background score by Diwan Giridar and lyrics by Pritham Sagar M.
