'The Expressions' which consists of members irrespective of language, religion, caste and creed, is synonymous with quality entertainment and promotion of talents, which has been its sole objective from inception. It has advanced a good deal in the past fifteen years with pathbreaking cultural extravaganza beginning with 'Expressions 2000', 'Sambhram', 'Expressions 2005', 'Karaval Milan Wilfy Nite', 'The Expressions Wilson Olivera Silver Jubilee Nite', 'Tuvvi Tuvvi', 'Moagachi Aproop Ghadi' 'Expressions 2009' and comedy drama 'Konnee Samanaath' staged at Barkur, Brahmavar, Shirva, Mudarangadi and the far away Mumbai too. The group also takes pride in being the co-organizers for two of the nine annual Kavita Fests by Kavita Trust. The overwhelming response from the audience and the staunch support of well-wishers has made 'The Expressions' stand tall.
This year, 'The Expressions' has come up with two mega events. Apart from the cultural extravaganza scheduled to be held on November 28, it has for the first time, spread its wings to associate with St Joseph’s Church, Jeppu, Mangaluru, in organizing the 5th Wilfy Rebimbus Memorial inter-diocesan (Mangaluru-Udupi) Konkani singing competition. The group was at the helm of affairs during the Udupi diocesan-level semi-finals held on October 4.
Everyone is requested to be part of the historic event at Barkur.
