New Delhi, Aug 22: The family of Shashi Nath Jha on Wednesday said they will challenge the Delhi High Court verdict acquitting former Union minister Shibu Soren in his murder case before the Supreme Court.

"We will not spare them," Preeti Jha, daughter of Shashi Nath, the private secretary to Soren who was murdered in 1994, said immediately after the verdict was pronounced.

"He (Soren) was sentenced to life imprisonment by the trial court after his guilt was proved, on what basis he has been acquitted now?" she said, expressing the family's dissatisfaction over the judgement.

"We are not financially strong but we will do whatever we can. We expect nothing from anybody. We have (left) everything to God," she said, expressing surprise over the dismissal of their appeal seeking enhancement of life sentence to death.
