Gangolli gram panchayat member Edward Cardin dies in road accident

Kundapur, Jan 5: Edward Cardin who was the member of Gangolli gram panchayat for the last thirty years passed away in a road accident on January 5.

Edward Cardin (63), resident of Gangolli Beach road was going to his residence riding his bicycle at about 5 pm when an insulator lorry hit his bicycle. The lorry was driven by the driver named Sathish.

Cardin was running an ironing shop on Gangolli port road. The accident occurred near Malyarabettu crematorium on Gangolli Church road.

Cardin has left behind his wife, a son and two daughters. He was an active member of Gangolli church parish pastoral council by being its vice president twice.

The dead body of the deceased has been taken to Kundapur government hospital.

A police case has been registered at Gangolli police station.

    VERY SAD NEWS BUT DRIVING LICENCE SYSTEM IN INDIA IS VERY VERY POOR EVERY DOM AND DICK IS GETTING DRIVING LICENCE IN INDIA THAT IS THE REASON FOR THIS TYPE OF ACCIDENTS.

    Very Sad news, a person riding a bicycle has been knocked down and killed. I do not know when these drivers will learn to drive carefully.

    Edward was my classmate at Saraswati Vidyalaya High School, Gangolli. As a boy he was a quiet and shy type of person. Spoke less but ever willing to giving a helping hand when he was requested. May God grant him eternal rest and peace and may give strength to his family members to bear the pain and loss.
