Dubai, September 9: Fatima Maiecho Suvad (‘Famad Pernal Kuttom’), the parish organization for the UAE Pernalites will celebrate ‘Monthi Fest’, the traditional nativity feast on September 14, at Richmond Hotel Apartments, Dubai.
The event which is exclusively by and for the Pernal parishioners, will kick-off at 5.00 pm sharp. Apart from loads of entertainment by its in-house ‘Pokri Pernal’ and ‘Rhythms’ music band, there will be a short stage event where the Infant Mary will be honoured with flowers and traditional hymns.
The annual award ceremony of ‘Vinchnnar Pernalgar’, the outstanding Pernalites of the year will be conferred on during the celebration. Uniquely, the event will host a traditional meal to be prepared by members served traditionally on ‘Xirotti’, banana leaf.
All parishioners are cordially invited to attend this free event, with traditional dress if possible. There will be special prizes for uniquely dressed guests.
