Los Angeles, Feb 25 (IANS): Singer Kesha, who has accused music producer Dr.Luke of sexually abusing her, has released a statement on her Facebook page about her turmoil and also expressed gratitude to her supporters.

"All I ever wanted was to be able to make music without being afraid, scared, or abused," Kesha wrote in her post on Wednesday, reports aceshowbiz.com. 

A judge ruled against her last week, citing there's not enough evidence that Luke sexually, physically and emotionally assaulted her during their decade-old partnership.

"This case has never been about a renegotiation of my record contract -- it was never about getting a bigger, or a better deal. This is about being free from my abuser," the "TiK ToK" hitmaker said. 

The pop star pleaded with her label Sony to cut her ties with Luke so that she could go on recording under their flag.

"I would be willing to work with Sony if they do the right thing and break all ties that bind me to my abuser. But at this point, this issue is bigger than just about me," she said. 

"I think about young girls today. I don't want my future daughter -- or your daughter -- or any person to be afraid that they will be punished if they speak out about being abused, especially if their abuser is in a position of power." 

She even encouraged people who had been abused to speak up, saying that she is a "feminist". 

"Yes, I am very much a feminist, but more than that, I am a humanist. I believe in supporting my fellow human beings in being safe," she concluded. 

Sony is yet to comment on Kesha's case.
