Kundapur, Mar 6: "The Hindu society has weakened due to the caste system. If we unite and stand together, no force in the world can shake us. Every Hindu should understand this fact. Hindutva can never be suppressed in this country," said Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Gurpur Vajradehi Math.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Virat Hindu Samajotsava organized at Tekkatte here by the local branch of VHP and Bajrang Dal on Sunday March 6.
"Nowadays, the left-wing ideology is gaining more importance than the right-wing ideology. The state government which has come forward to bring about a religious bill, rather than consulting Pejawar Swamiji, is seeking guidance from Nidumamidi Swamiji who has a leftist ideology. All in all, the chief minister of Karnataka wants to drive away the Hindu organizations in the state. Being born a Hindu, he (chief minister Siddaramaiah) should have proclaimed his Hindu identity with pride, but instead
he is making efforts to quell any work that is aimed at spreading knowledge about Hindu religion," he alleged.
"The Leftists who claim themselves to be intellectuals are actually driven by selfish motives. They get furious when a Hindu says anything about a Muslim, but when Pakistan flag is waved, or slogans are raised in support of Afzal Guru, they do not raise their voice. Has anti-nationalism then become more important than patriotism in this country?" he questioned.
"Why are there differences when it comes to indivdual freedom today? Is individual freedom not for Hindus? The people of the state themselves are calling the chief minister 'Nidderamaiah'. This is the level our CM has come to. Still, he has not got rid of his habit of criticizing Hindutva. When Hindu religion is attacked or criticized, no Hindu can sit quiet," he added.
Bajrang Dal convenor Sharan Pumpwell said, "VHP and Bajrang Dal are doing the work of creating awareness in the country. We are spreading messages that build and encourage patriotism. Those who cannot tolerate this are levelling baseless allegations and even talking of leaving the country. Attempts are being made to suppress Hinduism in order to appease another community.
Targetting the state government, he said, "I have never seen such an impotent government in 60 years since Independence. We are warning you (state government). We are not indulging in any anti-national activities. We have not raised Pakistan flag. We are not the ones who shouted slogans in support of terrorist Afzal Guru. We are ony spreading the message of saffron peace and Hindutva. There is a big conspiracy going on in the state to suppress Hindu organizations. But it will not deter us. A great
patriot is the Prime Minister of this country, hence those who are anti-Hindu are feeling jealous.
Attacking rationalists, he said, "What happened to the person who claimed he urinated on deity's idol? What will happen to the one who proclaimed that Bhagavad Gita should be burnt? Just think. It is time to protest all such insults to Hindu religion. We have begun the task of starting our units in each and every village to protest against cow slaughter, love Jihad and conversion. We are even ready to go to jail to protect the Hindu society."
Gopalaji the regional organizational secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad in his keynote address said “It is the Hindu religion which has given culture, peace and tradition to the world. Hindu religion was attacked repeatedly. Muslims invaded our prayer places. But we kept quiet. But now Hindu religion is being targeted in the name of politics. There is a politics of insulting Hinduism. Hindu society is not a football. If it stands like a rock, nobody can shake it. Every village should have organizations like Vishwas Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, so that we can raise our voices against those who persecute us.”
“Chief minister Siddaramaiah became impure by saying that he would consume cow meat. The people of Udupi district have taught the lesson through ZP and TP elections recently to the government which has been appeasing the minority. In the future too, people will retaliate against injustice. Christians and Muslims have been causing lot of injustice to Hindus from long time. Love Jihad, conversion and anti-national activities are going on. But the enemies are not punished. Every Hindu should think about this and understand his duties in this regard.” he added.
Ratnakar Shetty Badamane Giliyaru, an entrepreneur from Mumbai, in his presidential address said, “There are many people in India who live in the country but do not have respect for the country. They do not love the flag and laws of this country. Should we forgive the fundamentalists who support the division of Kashmir and encourage anti-national activities? There is no need of much time to destroy these elements. Hindutva has such a power in it. We need t be more cautious from now.”
Baikady Suprasad Shetty said, “If Ram Mandir and Ram Sethu issues are still there, it is because of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. We will form Bajrang Dal committees in all 234 villages of the district. We will recruit 10, 000 activists. Mattu, who is in a big position, humiliated the Indian soldiers by saying they join military because of poverty and not because of patriotism. There are many pseudo intellectuals like him. This government supports them. The same party, which had the cow as its symbol, is the impediment to the implementation of anti- cow slaughter law.”
Bajrang Dal district convener Girish Mendon, pro-cow activist Vijaya Kumar Shetty, Thane Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Umesh Shetty Polya, Udupi district co-convener Girish Kundapur , taluk convener Santosh Kundapur, Prabhakar Shetty, Ratnakar Amin, Sunil K, Gururaj Rao, Dinesh Mendon, Mohandas Shetty Ulthur and Srinath Shetty were present among others.
Thekkatte Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Rajath Thekkatte welcomed and Avinash Balkur proposed vote of thanks.
