Four IS suspects detained in Turkey


Ankara, March 27 (IANS): At least four Islamic State militants were detained by Turkish police, the Turkish armed forces said on Sunday.

The four suspected IS militants, crossing into Turkey illegally from Syria, were captured on Saturday in Kahramanmaras province, Xinhua nes agency quoted the military as saying, adding that the detainees were all foreigners.

The arrests came at a time when the Turkish security forces are on high alert to catch IS militants who have been detected inside the country and are allegedly trying to carry out attacks across the country.
