Brussels, Mar 28 : Techie Raghavendra Ganeshan of global software giant Infosys, who has been missing in terror-hit Brussels, is no more.

A week after the terror assault shook the Belgian capital, also the headquarters of the European Union, the Indian Embassy there and the Ministry of External Affairs today confirmed the death of Raghavendran Ganesh.

The Belgian authorities have identied Ragavendra Ganeshan as one of the victims in the recent Brussels suicide bomb attack which killed at least 35 people and injured over 300.

"The Belgian authorities have identified Raghavendran as one of the victims of the barbaric terror attacks of March 22," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said.

The 28-year-old Ganeshan hailed from Bengaluru and his last phone call was traced to a metrol rail in Brussels.

The Ministry of External Affairs said Ganeshan's mortal remains would be handed over to his family, who will be leaving for India from Amsterdam airport.

"Mortal remains are in process of being handed to family of Raghavendran, to be taken to India from Amsterdam airport," the Indian Embassy tweeted.

"RIP Raghvendran ! We offer our deepest condolences 2 the family and friends," the Embassy tweeted.

Infosys had last week said it was coordinating with the Indian Embassy and local authorities to locate Ganesh and was in touch with his family.

Sources said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be paying homage to Ganeshan and others victims of the terror attack when he visits Brussels on March 30.

RIP Raghavendra..One month old baby will live without father now. This faction & its supporters use picture of a 4 year old who drowned while migrating to Europe to get synaptic but they have no issues killing others and making kids orphans. May god's wrath wipe them out from this earth.

Extremely saddened with this. last 100 years we have had it all. WW1, WW2, Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing, 9/11, 26/11, Kargil and list goes on and on. In the name of politics and religion we humans have crossed all our limits. I am no more able to find an emotion to react to violence and bloodshed, sad reality is that we are now used to this!
