Fujairah: Thumbay Hospital launches ‘Continuing medical education seminars’

Fujairah, Mar 29: Thumbay Hospital, here, the leading academic hospital owned and run by Thumbay Group, in association with Gulf Medical University, Ajman and the health communications division of Thumbay group hosted continuing medical education seminars at the hospital premises on Monday March 21.






The seminar had the following sessions handled by experts:

Evaluation of a limping Child - Dr Mohammed Zakeer Ahmed (orthopedic specialist, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah)

Evaluation of a febrile child - Dr Sherif Bakir (consultant pediatrician, Massafi and Dibba Fujairah Hospital MOH, UAE)

Breast Cancer Imaging – beyond mammography - Dr Vilas P Kanikdaley (senior specialist - radiology, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah)

Viral Infections in Pregnancy (Zika Virus) - Dr Rebecamma Oommen (specialist in obstetrics and gynaecologist, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah; faculty of medicine, Gulf Medical University, Ajman)

The seminar, accredited by MoH for 4 CME hours saw the participation of healthcare professionals from across the UAE. Dr Osama Mahmoud Rizk, medical director of Thumbay Hospital – Fujairah said that these seminars would be held every month, in the hospital. Certificates were distributed to the participants at the end of the programme.
