Vedavathi (45), wife of farmer Jayarama, is the person deceased.

Vedavathi was alone at home as her husband had gone out to attend a function. Her elder son Prajwal studies at Canara engineering college and the younger son Praful studies at a Puttur college and hence do not stay at home. Two workers, husband and wife who work for them, finished their work early and went home.

There was no sense in killing a woman just for her gold. It is unbelievable. May her soul RIP. Sympathies to her husband, sons and near and dear ones. I hope the killer or killers are apprehended soon.
