Mangalore: A J Hospital Completes Six Years of Finest Health Care Services

Mangalore Oct 17: A J Hospital has completed six years of providing the finest healthcare facilities in the city of Mangalore. To commemorate this occasion the hospital will be offering a discount of 25% to the general public on all out-patient investigations including consultation from Thursday October 18 to Wednesday October 31, informed Dr Prashanth Marla, medical director of the hospital at a press meet held at Moti Mahal here on Tuesday October 16.
Addressing media-persons, Dr Marla said that their cardiology department alone has treated around 15,000 patients and has been performing complicated surgeries with a success ratio of 99.5%, whilst their Urology/Nephrology department has dealt with 5000 cases and been doing renal transplants with a success ratio of 90%.
Further he said the hospital’s Critical Care unit apart from being the first high intensity hybrid critical care unit in the city with all the advanced life support systems, has several firsts to its credit. Moreover, their Trauma Care Centre works day and night to provide specialist care in all aspects of trauma including orthopedics, neurology, neurosurgery, general surgery, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and a toxicology centre, he added.
On the other hand, Dr Marla informed that their department of Neurosciences is well-equipped to handle all cases pertaining to neurological disorders and trauma particularly involving the brain, spine and peripheral nerves. Moreover, he said that their department had a dedicated team of doctors to handle all such disorders.
Dr Marla also dealt at length about the departments of plastic surgery, joint replacement and arthroscopy, radio-diagnosis and nuclear medicine and various health are facilities and services offered there. Further he informed about their Breast Health clinic and ENT Speciality clinic while the former offers complete care for all breast ailments, the latter offers specialized treatment for migraine, vertigo, nasal allergy and voice disorders.
Free health check-up camps in various places of Karnataka and Kerala will be held in the hospital’s endeavour to reach their services to all sections of the society. Thousands have already benefited from these camps, declared Dr Marla. Further plans are on the anvil to add care unit, ICU lounge, executive lounge, executive rooms etc and it is also gearing up for NABH accredition, he added.
