Sharjah: Air Arabia's Maiden Flight to Bangalore Takes to Skies

Sharjah, Oct 18: While political turmoil in Karnataka is hogging limelight in the media, another milestone was being set quietly in the history of air passage connecting Sharjah, UAE to Bangalore, much to the traveling pleasure of Gulf Kannadigas.
Sharjah-based popular airline Air Arabia started its air foray to Bangalore by launching, four-days-a-week, flight from Sharjah.
To mark its inaugural flight on Wednesday October 17, the airline invited well-known community leaders to travel to Bangalore on maiden flight. In a formal function held at lobby of Gate 8, cake was cut by Adel Ali, CEO, Air Arabia.
Speaking to Daijiworld Adel Ali announced that very soon Air Arabia will launch daily flights for Gulf Kannadigas. This is a sort of boon as amidst national carrier high profile airlines, Air Arabia has started a well-priced budget flight to Bangalore, the IT capital of India.
Prominent NRI's among Gulf Kannadigas Sudhir Shetty, Shekar Shetty, Sarvotham Shetty, BG Mohandas, Ganesh Rai and Anand Salian were among the first one’s to avail the benefit of first flight.
Adel Ali also joined the gala event. Flight left at 10.50 pm from Sharjah International Airport.
